About Planetopia
Planetopia is a strategy-driven, science-inspired competition that challenges participants to transform a hostile planet into a human-supporting eutopia. Blending astrophysics, chemistry, logical reasoning, economics, and teamwork, this event puts your scientific creativity under pressure... quite literally.
Mission Directives
The Challenge
Redesign a hostile planet to support human-like life using only acquired resources. Human life arrives only after the planet-making process is complete; your focus is on planetary engineering.
Hostile Environments
Teams are assigned extreme conditions: e.g., a planet within the accretion disk of a black hole, a silica-rich planet with hostile geology, or one governed by quantum-scale effects.
Bidding & Auctions
Resources are acquired through a competitive bidding system. Each card has a base price. Teams bid using a fixed in-game currency.
Strategy Over Fantasy
This is not about It's about making informed decisions, balancing trade building fantasy worlds.-offs, and defending your ideas against critical questioning.
