About

This event is a research-driven academic simulation inspired by Model United Nations, structured particularly for scientific and scholarly debate. Instead of representing countries, participants represent major researchers in their respective fields which are relevant to the issue at hand. This MUN presents academic crises where new data, results and updates come in to which the committee is expected to react dynamically. Participants will engage with research papers as primary sources, analyzing it based on pieces of evidence to support their arguments. The committee functions as a model academic congress and is expected to deliberate and vote on a resolution. This event aims at giving participants experience in a MUN - style event while also exposing them to deliberations and scientific methods as applied to a niche field.

The standard operational guidelines of MUNs will apply and we will provide the same along with individual roles and information about the crisis in the handbook.
